Hello friends, and welcome to this month’s Joyinmovement newsletter,
I’ve got two tidbits for you this month.
1. It is an understatement to say keeping our spines as healthy as possible, for as long as possible, is essential. And mitigating back pain goes hand-in-hand with keeping our spines and bodies healthy.
I’m thinking by now you’ve all heard that we sit too much and sitting too much causes all sorts of problems. As with most “staying healthy” news we get, this is not only an oversimplification, but it leaves out what I think is the most important point: it’s not HOW MUCH we sit, but rather HOW we sit.
This month I’m sharing this article with you. It has all you need to know about sitting so that you spare your back and spine. It’s written with humor, has the most lovely photo of sitting I’ve seen, and the instructions are simple to follow.
Here’s the link to the article. Give it a read and let me know what you think.
2. To start 2019 off on good footing, I’ve upgraded and made changes to my Joyinmovement site, so let’s take a tour.
Just like sitting, it’s not how much you run, but HOW you run!
Need help because you experience running injuries, are training for a half or full marathon, or would just like to enjoy running more than you do? Here’s where you’ll find out more about what I offer. Hard to believe, because time passes so quickly, that this is my 15th year coaching runners.
Nutrition is a hot topic with so many contenders for “best” diet.
What’s best for one person is not best for all people. What really is best is that you find a nutritional approach that works for you so that you feel great, age well, and experience abundant energy each day. I’ve dialed in my own approach and I love helping others do the same. Learn more here.
One of the most exciting new features on Joyinmovement was recently added.
Being able to use Skype to guide and coach clients continues to be a ton of fun for me but more importantly, clients gain huge benefits from the one-to-one, face-to-face approach. You can view my extensive Skype menu here.
Traveling is a lot more fun when you have the right Travel Resources.
I’m constantly adding and testing out new products and services, and of course never recommend anything I don’t use. From day one that’s been the way I’ve done business and chosen what to recommend to my JIM family. If you have any travel resources or products you use that you think I should test, let me know!
Until next month, whether you’re sitting, running, hiking through a snowy forest, or swimming in the ocean, find Joyinmovement each and every day!
